Ordering & Delivery

Do you offer free UK delivery?

Yes — we offer free delivery on qualifying orders to UK mainland addresses. Certain heavy items (concrete barriers, large ramp systems) may incur a delivery surcharge — this is shown clearly at checkout.

How quickly will my order arrive?

Most in-stock items are dispatched within 1–2 working days. Estimated delivery times are shown on each product page. Large or bespoke items may have longer lead times.

Can I get a trade account?

Bollards

What is the strongest bollard you stock?

Our security-rated anti-ram bollards are the strongest in our range, designed and tested to withstand vehicle impact at speed. PAS 68-rated options are available for high-security applications including government buildings, retail HVM and critical infrastructure.

How do I know which bollard to choose?

Consider three key factors: (1) Is it temporary or permanent? (2) Do you need to stop vehicles, or just guide them? (3) What aesthetic requirement applies? Our Bollard Buying Guide covers all the decisions in detail.

Speed Bumps

Can I install a speed bump on a public road?

On public roads, speed humps must comply with the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 and be approved by the local highway authority (your council). On private roads, car parks and industrial estates, no approval is needed.

What height speed bump should I use?

75mm height is the most common choice for car parks and private roads — it effectively reduces speeds to 15–20 mph without being excessively uncomfortable. 50mm is suitable for gentle speed reduction to 20–25 mph.

Wheelchair Ramps

What gradient does a DDA-compliant ramp need?

BS 8300 (the UK technical standard for accessible design) specifies a maximum gradient of 1:12 (8.3%) for rises up to 100mm, and 1:15–1:20 for longer ramps. The minimum clear width is 1,200mm.

Do I have to provide a wheelchair ramp by law?

The Equality Act 2010 requires businesses to make reasonable adjustments to remove physical barriers to disabled access. Where a step prevents access, providing a ramp is typically the expected reasonable adjustment.

Safety Mirrors

What size convex mirror do I need?

Match mirror diameter to viewing distance: 300mm for up to 5m, 450mm for up to 8m, 600mm for up to 12m, 800mm for up to 18m, 1000mm for up to 25m. When in doubt, go larger.

Do your products comply with UK standards?

Yes. Our products are sourced to comply with relevant UK and European standards including BS EN 1317 (vehicle restraint systems), BS 7818 (pedestrian guardrail), BS 8300 (accessibility), Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual (traffic management), and PAS 68 (security barriers where applicable).
